What is Facial Aesthetics?
Facial Aesthetics is an incredibly popular non-surgical cosmetic treatment used for wrinkle reduction. Facial Aesthetics is toxin found in a particular type of bacteria, which has the ability to relax muscles and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. This includes crow’s feet (around the eyes), creases between the eyebrows and on the forehead.
How does Facial Aesthetics work?
Facial Aesthetics is a procedure where botulinum toxin type A solution is injected into the skin and works by temporarily preventing muscle movement, specifically targeting those muscles that cause wrinkles. Results from the injection can be seen anywhere between 24 hours after injection, up to 12 days later. Although each case is unique, most patients find that their injections last up to 4 months. These injections should be repeated after your initial treatment if you want to maintain the same fresh look.
Are there side effects with Facial Aesthetics?
When used appropriately and administered by a skilled dentist, Facial Aesthetics has no side effects. Although if you do choose to have Facial Aesthetic treatment, your dentist will recommend avoiding anti-inflammatory medications, vitamin E and aspirin for 2 weeks prior to your treatment in order to avoid bruising during your procedure.
Our practices in Clacton, Brentwood, Southend, South Benfleet and Great Yarmouth offer Facial Aesthetics, so if you would like any further information about Facial Aesthetics or you would like to request an appointment with one of our friendly dentists, please get in touch with one of our practices.
