Together Dental is made up of a dedicated team with a shared vision and values. Our people are incredibly skilled, and have spent so many years training and sharing their knowledge. At the same time we all recognise that the local community is at the very heart of every dental practice, and that we should always remain a valued community resource.
We want to introduce you to some of the wonderful people who make our team great and here about their career journeys. Meet Dr Aditi Patel:
Aditi grew up Eastbourne, Sussex and has been part of the Together Dental for 14 years. She trained at Barts and Royal London University and is a Member of Royal College of Surgeons. She has taught overseas dentists to qualify for their ORE examinations. She was a Senior House Officer at Barts and the Royal London hospital in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery where she experienced facial trauma surgery, head, neck and oral surgery and also became skilful in complexities of dental extractions. Following this Aditi spent a year here as a senior house officer in Restorative dentistry furthering her skills in this field.
She says; “I have been lucky enough to have a fantastic career already working in dental academia. I love restorative dentistry and have worked with complex extractions of curved roots and other very difficult cases. It is all great experience because when I come to manage really complex conditions then everything in day to day practice seems so much easier!”
“I have trained under, and worked with some of the most renowned, experienced consultant dental surgeons in the UK. I reached a point where I wanted to come back into general practice to build stronger and more-long term relationships with my patients and offer my skills back to people in the community. I’m a people person and always liked the practice setting and because of my experience I can give my patients the very best clinical and academic information.”
“I made such a right decision choosing Together Dental. Since then they have just been so lovely. Sanjay and Mayur made things so smooth in any transitions and practice upgrades that we have gone through. It’s a testament to their ethical values and ways of working that we have such a supportive and constructive atmosphere throughout.”
“In every meeting that I have with Mayur (Clinical Director) he always tells me something new and interesting. They are always looking forward, it’s always positive, and I have always felt very much supported throughout my time here.”
“You don’t always get business owners like that really. I feel like they are my dental family. Even though I may not speak to them all of the time I know that they are there, which is very important in dentistry.”
“As a dentist we do have to keep up to date. Together Dental provide me with basic things like CPR and webinars, through to further training, they are proactive in looking for great new up to date education and furthering our skills which is great for the dental team.”
“Because I have been in my practice for a long time, I feel I have created rapport and trust organically with my patients during this time. This has meant that many more attend regularly and so they become dentally fit. It’s lovely to have dentists that stay for a long time. Patients like the continuity and it’s better for their dental health.”
“If I wasn’t a dentist, I would work in something creative or be an artist. Being a dentist is a fantastic career because it’s a healing profession. Pain is the worst thing a person can have so to heal and get people out of pain is a spiritual gift and important to me. Being a dentist is scientific but also a form of art too.”
“In this profession you have control over your career and progression. I feel like I high achieved a lot and have surpassed many of my male contemporaries. For younger dentists they are going to get a lot of support, make a lot of dental colleagues that become friends to take forward throughout life which is nice. They will also be in a great atmosphere to progress their dental career. I often give advice to more junior dentists. We are all here to help each other.” ... See MoreSee Less

Our expert team have created their list of predictions for the biggest trends in teeth for the coming year. Trend number one in our list of 'top 10 smile trends we will see in the coming year' is the increase in more gentlemen having cosmetic dentistry.
More gents are having cosmetic dentistry than ever before. We are seeing an increase in men who wish to improve their smiles with the latest technical treatments on the market. Gents increasingly want to look after themselves and their health, and having a lovely fresh bright smile is the most striking way to improve their appearance. Men are comfortable in attending dental surgeries for aesthetic treatments as they can ‘pass it off’ as a routine trip to the dentist.
